Merriam Webster defines a magpie as:
1. A noisy, black-and-white bird, or,
2. A person who collects and keeps different things.

Of course, there are other definitions and other ideas relating on magpies. To some they are pests, and to others they are curious birds, but not particularly interesting in any way.

Magpies have been, as long as I can remember, my favourite bird. Furthermore, I would certainly describe myself of a collecter and keeper of many different things. I am, in no particular order, an artist, a student, a musician, a game enthusiast, a boardgame designer, a political scientist, and, counting the secondary definition, a magpie.

There are superstitions relating to magpies, regarding them being lucky or unlucky. Whatever the case may be, welcome to Magpie Manor, a home for birds of fortune of every feather.
